I wanted to contrast and ‘lay some things on the table’ for us to think about. The thought occurred to me while I was stuck in traffic staring at an overpass that had been de-faced by graffiti.
Group 1: ‘Vandals’
This group goes by many names and one sticks out to me, artists. There are many adolescents and some grown adults that feel the need to spray paint and deface public property sometimes for the shear purpose of enjoyment and some do it to create a master piece. Recently in some cities the ‘vandals’...

“Anyone can purchase beautiful dyed wool yarn, but only a few can make it into a usable piece of everday clothing.”
Anyone can make a ‘balanced diet’, but only a few can make it into a nutritional everyday food.

Doesn't matter what you spray on processed it's still processed.
Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) smells exactly like almonds, but it easily can kill you when ingested. Just because HCN smells like something familiar and safe, the adverse reaction to its consumption cannot be determined simply by it odor.
A common practice in the pet food industry is to use flavors to cover up the distressed nature of many of the ingredients. Masking the natural purification and denatured characteristics of distressed ingredients destroys the animals’...

Politicians found to be illegally spending taxpayer money, Senators suddenly being exposed with lovers other than their spouse, movie stars caught drugged out; easily create excuses and fake remorse once they are caught and face a guilty verdict. There are times in all our lives that we have to decide once and for all what we stand for and what our identity really is.
If you believe in an optimum diet for your pet then follow your belief no matter what the “real” cost! If you want a raw diet without the initial cost,...

I know people in the US that are using implants in their best animals. I think the US will one day require every animal to have its own permanent ID for traceability. Under regulation from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, all sheep born in the United Kingdom on or after Dec. 31, 2009, must have two identifiers: one electronic and one visual. The Netherlands also passed similar legislation.
The legislation was drafted, in part, to facilitate the early identification of health and safety problems through...

Cats bring so much to our lives and expect very little in return. I think this, rings true for most households whether life is just too busy or ‘Fifi’ doesn’t want to be pet when you’re available, our cats sometimes get ‘left out’. I have dedicated the past 6 months struggling to find a diet routine that is right for our new puppy ‘Zack’ and I must say the poor old cat has been feeling like a bit of an outsider. Love and affection given to most cats comes in the form of a bag of food or a can which they...

Al Gore announced that he and Tipper are calling their marriage chilled out. Promoting the notion that global warming is destroying the polar icecaps has put Al Gore on ice with his wife.
No man can achieve marital bliss by continually looking for something “hot” in other countries; just ask South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford and his mistress Maria Chapur in Argentina.
Global warming made Al Gore famous and his wife frigid.
Promoting Science diet and having an unfounded fear of raw diets by many veterinarians...

Apple’s new I-Pad is paving the way for I-Food Pad; you look at it, smell it, and taste it by licking the especially designed lick pad or monitor. The actual nourishment from the food will come from tiny micro pills and molecular nutrients dispensed from a device similar to a printing machine.
With the new virtual food pad, people will design an entire meal; download the molecular sized nutrient s and micro pills onto edible paper, and then feast on their imagination.
Virtual food pads will have “molecular...

Are you as upset about the Gulf Coast Oil spill as I am and all of the cover-ups and lack of honesty to solve this disaster? Treating an oil spill with dispersive chemicals allows the surface to hide so many secrets. The current oil spill is exactly what has taken place in the pet food industry for the last 50 years. Commercial “dead-food” providers have caused an ‘oil spill’ that has made its way to affect the health of all dogs and cats that simply survive on this highly processed dead food.
This is the year...

By Dr. Gary Pusillo:
Times is what we all want the most of, but we use the worst.
Setting our clocks back this weekend gave us more time to sleep; except for our animals. The horses wanted to be fed an hour earlier, the dogs needed their walk one hour earlier and the cats’ play time did not come soon enough.
Animals used to routines resist change. Our pets require active “parental” involvement to help them make tolerable adjustments to the one hour disruption of their internal clocks.
Last night at 8:00 PM, our house cat...
