Ironic Contrast
Group 1: ‘Vandals’
This group goes by many names and one sticks out to me, artists. There are many adolescents and some grown adults that feel the need to spray paint and deface public property sometimes for the shear purpose of enjoyment and some do it to create a master piece. Recently in some cities the ‘vandals’ have been promoted to help create art in downtown areas that need some ‘sprucing up’, and quite frankly some of it looks really good. What bothers me more are the ‘artists’ that decide to de-face a beautiful structure just to get some attention and in their mind they are ‘making things better’.
Group 2: ‘Pet Vandals’
This group goes by many names; we will call them the ‘Goliaths’ of the pet industry. There are many ‘professionals’ that feel the need to flex their intellectual muscles in areas they are not trained in. Whether they do this for shear enjoyment or they truly think they are creating a master piece, who knows. Recently in some companies these professionals have been laying claims to products that go against the bioavailable guidelines. Frankly some of the products LOOK very good. What bothers me more is the ‘professionals’ know that they are wrong yet they continue to deface nature just to get some money and make a difference in their own lives. Beautiful pieces of fresh chicken defaced and extruded into something that doesn’t even come close to resembling chicken and to help who? “We offer the best in pet nutrition”… can you show me proof? Have you done the comparison? Is natures intended diet really not as good as what you are making?
Personally I would rather see graffiti and public art everywhere than have someone come up with a ‘catchy phrase’ and lie to me. Then when questioned send me coupons and round-about responses with some white lies tied in there. Then again little white lies are ok right? If it means that it ‘protects’ the masses then that’s ok… but then again who are they to make that decision?
What does your common sense tell you?
