I found this bit of information very interesting but not surprising:
People are more likely to trust strangers if they are accompanied by dogs, new research out of Edmonton, Canada shows. The joint study by the University of Alberta and Northern Alberta Institute of Technology surveyed 295 people in Edmonton about their views on canines, generally, and about breeds.

Just because a dog or cat loves to eats a particular food doesn’t mean they should eat it. Dog’s especially are notorious for eating almost anything i.e furniture, shoes and even their own poo.
Why then do we use our pet’s reaction (positive or negative) to a particular food or treat as the barometer of whether or not we feed it? Of course food and treats have to be palatable but should we compromise (or give in to guilt) and allow junky ingredients or empty calories to over ride good nutrition?...

‘Unmistakably real’ can mean a lot of different things to different people. For me, it represents honesty, integrity and trust. It means ‘nothing artificial’; the opposite of fake. And last but certainly not least, the unconditional love of a companion pet.
